An Interview with Girls' Lena Dunham on NPR

Do you guys watch Girls on HBO? I really like it and just caught up on Episode 2 of Season 2, which aired a few days ago.

I often listen to the NPR app on my commute to the office, so I was excited to see that there was an interview with Lena Dunham who plays Hanna (oh, and she also wrote the series!)

Dunham and Fresh Air's Terry Gross address issues that many girls in their mid-late 20s go through, including not being able to relate to chick-lit and romantic comedies, on 20-somethings living with their parents, and tattoos.

There's been some criticism about the show, so I'm curious to see what you think- do you think it's realistic? Can you relate to these characters/issues?

  1. Im not a huge fan of the show & i've given it a few chances but I can't seem to relate. However i still find myself watching it when my sister visits on the weekends probably because im amazed that she is the writer! I actually saw one of the characters (girl in the blue skirt) while taking a hike at griffith park.
