Detox for body, mind, and home

Like many of you out there, I tend to use January as a time to refresh, detox, re-organize, and renew.

Last week, I started Apartment Therapy's January Cure. I'm a total project junkie and always have a lengthy list of to-do's. This is my attempt to streamline the list...hopefully...and bring some more order to our little home.

It's been really nice having to make a list or projects and actually get them down on paper. One problem I always have is that I start all my projects all at once. This equals a trail of small disaster zones throughout the apartment. I like how Apartment Therapy's plan helps you take it one day at a time.

PS Check out my organization board on Pinterest!

Yesterday, I also started a detox (from Whole Living) and I am so excited, however a little nervous about the first week. No sugar, gluten, dairy, alcohol, or caffeine for 21-28 days. The one I'm really going to have a hard time with is the sugar.

I've been Tweeting (@afoggycitylife) about the detox and home organization, so check it out, and if you feel inspired, join me! (Or just send me a little love- any words of encouragement are helpful as I sit here, hungry and craving a cookie...)

  4. @camille_iman, you should! I actually did a couple of the tasks in one day because I was a little behind. Totally doable! Let me know how it goes!

  5. Loving the shoe storage in the top pic (the shoes too!). I use a cake stand on my dresser to display my bracelets and earrings, but love it with the perfumes too!

    1. @Gina: Totally! I'm digging the snake skin ones- top right. I'm also slightly obsessed with cake stands and have found all kinds of fun ways to use them (besides for cake...which I am NOT eating these days)....
